About Momentum Dance Studio

Momentum Dance is Dalton, Georgia’s only dance studio where students are trained to showcase their talent at local competitions. Through competition, dancers can be recognized for their hard work throughout the season. If competing isn’t an interest for you, we offer recreational classes with an end of year recital.

Why Compete?

Competition dance is not only an exciting environment, but it also allows dancers the opportunity for self-expression and to gain confidence in performing. The competitive atmosphere teaches students to push themselves to improve individually while enjoying the support and encouragement of fellow teammates.

Meet The Owner

Julianne Staten

OWNER AND DIRECTOR OF DANCE

Unlike most trained professional dancers, Julianne Staten began dancing at the later age of 14. She immediately knew dance was her passion and would be a career to pursue. Julianne began training at local dance studios and competing in dance competitions independently, choreographing each of her solos. She was a successful competitive dancer, earning multiple regional and national solo titles. After high school Julianne auditioned for Kennesaw State University's Department of Dance, which consistently ranks as the top dance program in Georgia. She was accepted into the college of dance while also receiving a scholarship. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Dance from Kennesaw State, where she trained in dance pedagogy, dance kinesiology, choreography, and various styles of dance. She spent her extra time teaching at nearby studios in Atlanta, and performing in various productions. Her credits include tumbling in Netflix's TV series Cobra Kai, dancing in Nickelodeon's  TV movie California Dreaming, acting in Netflix's TV series Ozark, and performing in Kennesaw State University's quadrennial President's Concert. Julianne hopes to instill a love for dance, foster confidence, and nurture creativity in her students.
